Programming Information Required
This ECU must be programmed to your specific vehicle before it will work. Please provide the following so we can program it before shipping.
Engine computer from a 1997 Ram truck. This is in perfect working order. The case and connectors have some wear from normal use but no broken parts. You will receive one PCM with one of the interchangeable part numbers listed below.
Fits 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 with 5.2L engine, automatic transmission and part number R6040387, 56040387, R5278331 and 05278331 regardless of the ending letter pair if any.
We require you to provide us with the following information to ensure plug and play operation with your vehicle, no additional programming required:
- Vehicle identification number (VIN)
- The current odometer reading displayed on your instrument cluster
- Your current PCM part number (This is printed on the part label that says, Authorized Software Update)
